I can't understand why this story as a whole doesn't have more favourites and comments.

It is one of the few WG stories out there that are, above all, humane. Meaning that it's much more real and personal, which is what makes it so believable, and thus all the more sexy.

Personally I struggle to write characters who can discard concern about their weight so freely, since that sort of behaviour feels so unrealistic to me, so unbelievable. But I've come realise it isn't impossible for a character to discard concern... Miri convinced me to believe the behaviour. The title really is fitting; fat does happen. Miri is not careless, so much as courageously accepting of what really is part of human life -- something which millions of people are unfortunately let themselves be robbed of happiness over. It's all nail-biting and self-fettering for the majority. Market forces, whether they have an eye to turn inwards or not, hold immense blame for that kind of suffering. Everyone seems to know this, and yet something about the power of anxiety seems to convince people that the shackles holding them to terror over body-image are made out of invincible steel, and not just foam.

I think Miri should be admired as a legitimate heroine of weight gain. She does encounter doubts. Any character should; if they didn't, would they really be human? It's those small regrets, doubts and second thoughts about her body, which she goes against. In going against them, where does she end up? Where most people fear to go. That sound to me like braveness, courage -- in other words: heroism.

No amount of sexy scenarios could make up for a hackneyed character being at the center of them. Sure, this story is weight gain fantasy fiction, and exists for sexual relief... But no matter how wild, no matter how unbelievable the fantastical scenarios happen to be, there is something complete about a story like this, something hugely sexy about a convincing character being in the middle of those scenarios, both influencing them, and being influenced by them.

Good work :happybounce:
